Best all around boot I've ever worn...and I've tried them all... Courtneys, Danners, Russells, Merrills, etc. They feel like they grew on your feet. They look kind of clumsy but they are NOT. Very stable, very grippy, very quiet and light. The only thing I can fault this boot for is that the stitching on the toe is exposed to thorns and rocks. I plan to keep several sets of these in rotation. One word of caution... the Slacker last (for this boot) tends to run about 1/2 size large. I nearly always wear a 9 but an 8 1/2 is perfect.

The Battler is good looking and very comfortable. If you need a winter boot that is classy enough for casual wear, this is it.
